In this role, I am responsible for security services practice of IBM Consulting. It is a business role which includes driving business results through Thought Lleadership. My expertise spans Data Protection, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Security, and Risk Management, all anchored in leading frameworks such as NIST, ISM, AESCSF, APRA, and ISO 27001/2.I lead with Cyber Security leadership skills, including Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Cyber Security Strategy, IAM, Data Protection, Incident Response, and Cyber Defence & Threat Intelligence. Key responsibilities: • Leadership & Strategy Development: Setting cyber security initiatives and aligning security strategies with client business objectives to enable secure digital transformation. • Risk Management: Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and risk mitigation through implementing controls that align with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and APRA. • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Leading the design and deployment of IAM solutions, including Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure robust identity governance. • Cloud Security: Developing and executing comprehensive cloud security strategies to safeguard hybrid and multi-cloud environments, using Zero Trust architecture principles and secure DevOps practices. • Data Protection & Privacy: Implementing data security governance, encryption, and data loss prevention strategies to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR • Security Architecture & Infrastructure: Overseeing the design and deployment of secure network and infrastructure architectures, ensuring integration of secure-by-design principles across the organization. • Cyber Security Operations: Managing security operations centres (SOCs), security monitoring, incident response teams, and threat detection systems to prevent and respond to cyber incidents.

Dubai

At IBM Middle East, I led several security multi-year transformation programs. I worked across industry sectors including FSS, government, mining, health and telecom. I was responsible to design and architecture of IAM and Data protection across Middle East & Africa territory. I delivered over 20 security projects in Middle East & Africa including Data security (Encryption, tokenisation, classification, database activity monitoring and data security strategy) and cloud security strategy for moving workloads to cloud. I developed several offerings, frameworks and reusable assets to drive security transformation in future engagements.During the pandemic, and I designed SASE solutions using Zero Trust architecture principles to provide remote access and data security services to global IBM customers.

Gurugram, Haryana, India

Established an IAM practice of 35 practitioners in Noida and Gurgaon. The team delivered global solutions for IAM services and maintaining a utilisation target for above 98%. Security Client lead for one the largest IBM outsourcing clients managing cyber security scope for over 5 years. Security lead for several security programs including Security operation centre using QRADAR SEIM in IT & OT with a library of over 400 security use-cases. Developed SOC processes for incident response with playbooks through integration with ITSM tool. Lead Architect for Identity & Access Management solution responsible to deliver RBAC-based provisioning solution using IBM Tivoli Identity Manager and a SSO solution with over 30 million subscriber.

Chandigarh, India

Established a security practice of Identity and Access Management at Infosys, Chandigarh by hiring 40 fresh graduates and training them on IAM Concepts and technology solutions. Coached and mentored the team with skills enablement, client engagement, project lifecycle and delivery operations. I managed multiple IAM projects from offshore through this team and delivered complex IAM solutions in onsite/offshore model. In an individual capacity, I designed a large Oracle IAM solution for a UK based Energy provider. I also developed architecture patterns for a US based financial service organisation using SAML and WS-Fed models. I was the architect for SUN identity manager project in a large European bank where I defined identity models using Sunone LDAP schema.I also was the Technical Architect for financial services organisation in US to design federation use cases and architecture patters.

Tech lead for the implementation of perimeter security solutions like IDS, IPS, AV, Content filtering solution for TCS internal. My main responsibility was to ensure readiness for ISO27001(BS7799) certification through documentation of security process and procedures and implementation of necessary security controls in the organisation.
