Part of the design team to create a new charter school named University High School—————————————————————Responsibilities:Assist and lead in the development and facilitation of all personal development workshops and meetings.Create and facilitate engaging and purposeful activities for all workshops and meetings.Contribute to design aspects of University High School in an enthusiastic manner.Participate in all learning activities with an open and growth mindset. Provide feedback and develop individualized growth plan for self and others.Communicate and coordinate activities, meetings, workshops, etc. on behalf of the team.Manage communication, calendar, schedule, meeting notes, etc and other administrative functions. Compose correspondence from outlined information to team members and other departments.Finalize artifacts needed for submission for all partners.Assist with grant proposals reports.Design, develop and implement protocols.Promote University High School with the utmost professionalism and knowledge.Generate, analyze, report, and communicate the findings from research and/or learning experience to supervisor, team members, interested departments and grantors.Maintain, process, and prepare files, reports, forms, questionnaires, and other data relating to University High School.Attend meetings, community activities, and professional development workshops needed to be effective and efficient in position, and work to ensure that practices are aligned to theory.

As part of the URI's Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program, the Director chooses his top four students to conduct a policy analysis on a public policy.This semester we will review and make recommendations on policy for Rhode Island Housing/education system; in particular trying to discover if the property taxes used to fund local schools is an effective method.

Helped incoming low-income freshmen students adjust to the college environment.Attended daily meetings with core staff and upper staff to create plan to develop plans to ensure maximum retention success.Met with students on a one-on-one to receive daily update of their classes, and ensure their basic needs were met.Break down and set-up TD related events such as college club day, and weekly meetings with all of the TD students and staff.

Providence

Conducted research for SEIU's RI State CounselOrganize union members to reach out to their state reps. to advocate for higher pay. Visited multiple nursing care homes for on site representationWorked closely with the Spanish speaking population, often translating SEIU material they might not understand and informing them of relevant information and events. Also participated in visibility efforts ( i.e Communication Workers of America demonstration in 2016).
