Combining two seemingly disparate worlds, the corporate realm of accounting and the artistic realm of dance and yoga, I have successfully created a unique path that highlights my passion for continuous learning, development, and community-building.Through years of continuing education and dedication to self-development, I’ve had the opportunity to work in almost every accounting role including assistant, staff accountant, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting supervisor, Director of Accounting Operations and Controller. Upon moving to Portland, Oregon I was recruited by a company I had worked with closely in the past, InTempo Software and served as their Director of Professional Services with a focus on providing the best customer experience.I have a passion for learning and understanding the complete business process so I can develop the best management tools, analysis, KPIs and custom reporting to ensure accurate and effective financial information. While I always ensure consistent and lean processes are established and well documented, I also consistently analyze these processes for opportunities to further support the success of the business and develop new, more efficient processes. These are some of the strengths I developed over my 20 years in a corporate environment. In summer 2019 I made a huge decision and decided to devote six months to my yoga and dance practice and teaching until I decided which career path I wanted to take next. I taught in-person classes and also taught live online classes at a time this was not happening in our industry.In March 2020, with the pandemic looming I put all my effort into continuing to build my online business and have since created a successful online school, FCBDU.com. I host a team of 20 top-rated instructors from around the world to teach classes, workshops and lectures to our online student base of over 1700 students across 52 countries.With 20 years of corporate accounting and management experience, I successfully merge the artistic aspects of teaching dance and yoga with a strong understanding of executive administration to manage an online business that continues to meet goals, connect community and create a positive, welcoming and motivational class experience. As a leader of my industry, I’m dedicated to serving my community and providing an environment that embraces and inspires new ideas, creativity, career development and empowerment.
