Discovered in South Africa by the David Gresham Record Company, his 2013 South African debut album received 3 South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations, including a record of the year nod for Not Just Friends. His 2014 release, Into The Wild, grabbed the attention of L.A. Reid and Cruise’s subsequent deal with Epic Records in New York City became the most significant record deal in South African music history, introducing him to the world stage. Cruise would make his international debut with Island Records in 2015 with his Into The Wild EP. Fans will have heard Into The Wild promoting major animated picture releases like Robinson Caruso (2016) and The Missing Link (2019). His 2017 sophomore album, Barely Breathing, garnered Cruise a fifth SAMA nomination. The lead single from the album, All Day, became the theme song for the television reality show, The Bachelor South Africa. In 2018 Cruise took to the dance floor as one of 12 celebrity contestants in the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars South Africa. Cruise would go on to win the competition and the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. 2020 sees the release of Cruise's third album, Confluence, a testament to his music journey and the story so far.
