Developed software utilizing the Java language and third-party libraries and frameworks. Emphasized methods, flow control and managing software version control. Created several projects collaborating with a front-end development team. Worked with Spark, Spring, Spring Boot, Postgres, H2 utilizing hibernate to create and mange data within databases. Developed a strong familiarity with the paradigm of Java as an object oriented-programming language. As a Member of STS my responsibilities included photometric testing, instrument calibrations, managing installation of new products, creating test procedures in conjunction with specified regulations, as well as creating uncertainty budgets. Maintaining and continuously improving our knowledge base was vital to the continued quality at STS. Therefore, we are active members in societies and participate in courses supplied by the National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST). Working as a Laboratory Technical Engineer, at STS, I preformed testing and calibration activities in compliance with our ISO/ICE 17025 accreditation. I followed laboratory operating procedures to ensure consistent, repeatable, and accurate results. For long term quality testing processes the documentation of equipment usage and it’s maintenance was a key portion of my role. I played an active role in our laboratory’s quality management system, providing feedback on procedures for their creation and modification. As a part of our quality system I worked under the advisement of the Laboratory Management. I maintain a working knowledge of industry regulatory test requirements in order to develop test processes applicable to the device under test.

I took the opportunity to learn, grow and take on a wide range of responsibilities. In my time with TRC I expanded from conducting source compliance and engineering tests in accordance with EPA methodologies to working to grow their ambient monitoring group. My responsibilities included calculating emissions and control efficiencies, setting up and preforming emission testing for a wide array of pollutants. I also analyzed and compiled data for reports.My responsibilities extended into to working on ambient monitoring projects. In my expanded role I worked effectively as a team member to install ,support and audit ambient monitoring networks for our clients. My responsibilities included preparations for network installations, maintenance and repair for all the instruments, completing audits, quality assurance for data collected and managing site operators. I had the opportunity to produce internal standard operating procedures and create documentation plans and spreadsheets for their growing ambient monitoring projects. I enjoyed building on my knowledge of regulatory and permit requirements for clients. I also enjoyed interfacing with clients to ensure their needs were met and expectations exceeded. TRC allowed me to grow and broaden my horizons, undertaking new projects and honing my analytical and technical skills.
