We lease roof space from REITs, Individual real estate owners, Independent companies, schools, hospitals, etc Our only requirement is that they have free and clear square footage on their roof. Financially, the way it works, is after we lease the roof from the client, we pay them the annual lease term upfront, in its' entirety.
