Aspiring Cybersecurity Professional | Cryptologic Language Analyst | U.S. Air Force VeteranAs an aspiring cybersecurity professional in my final semester at Hilbert College, I bring a unique blend of practical experience and academic knowledge to the field. Before returning to school, I proudly served for six years as a Cryptologic Language Analyst in the United States Air Force. This role equipped me with a solid foundation in intelligence and cybersecurity, along with a deep understanding of complex, high-stakes environments.During my military service, in addition to my primary duties I also took on the critical responsibility of guiding my unit's language program. I ensured that linguists maintained their language proficiency, facilitated their training enrollment, and managed related administrative tasks. This experience honed my skills in leadership, project management, and meticulous attention to detail—qualities that will only further propel me to success in cybersecurity and intelligence roles.At Hilbert College, I achieved academic honors each semester that I have been enrolled. I have developed a strong foundational skill set that includes proficiency in Python, Linux, Windows PowerShell, Nmap, Wireshark, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), risk management, threat intelligence, intelligence reporting, penetration testing, and digital forensics. In addition to these technical skills, I earned my CompTIA Security+ certification, further solidifying my credentials in the cybersecurity domain.While learning Chinese-Mandarin at the Defense Language Institute, I was handpicked for a six-week immersion program at Tamkang University in Taipei, Taiwan. This immersive experience not only enhanced my language skills but also deepened my cultural understanding and adaptability.I am passionate about leveraging my diverse skill set to protect and secure information in an increasingly digital world.
