This is an undergrad position where students work with the Tree Improvement Program. This Program is a Coop that works with a defined network of other extensive forestry-related companies to improve the genetics of planted tree species. My involvement in this position involved helping manage various genetic trials ongoing in a greenhouse. My responsibilities were to help nurture the trees in various genetic trials until they reached their final stage in the experiment.

A Summer internship where the intern shadows a forest manager across numerous projects. This position involved projects with task such as taking stand inventory, painting property lines, and doing forest stand inspections. Aside from basic forestry this position also involved a lot of supervision with logging and pesticide application.

This was a ranching Job that I landed working with a distant family member in which I was maintaining a horse barn daily throughout the week. A day of work consisted of caring for and feeding horses, cleaning and performing maintenance on the barns and building on the farm, running farm equipment such as mowers and tractors, maintaining and cleaning farm equipment weekly. This job was and still is a wonderful work experience that has taught me a lot about life and discipline.
