I collaborate with prospects and apartment locators in order to find them the best possible apartment home to fit their needs.I've conducted hundreds of sales presentations. Every time someone walks through the front door I express the value in our apartment homes and our edge over our competitors. However, building a rapport is the first thought on my mind. Connecting with my clients and making them feel at ease is my first priority. After all, when is apartment searching not at least a little stressful? I want my clients to be open and comfortable about the entire process.Through the first interaction, community tour, closing the sale, and following up with clients, I strive to be the best at what I do. My sincere passion for exceeding expectations and 'going the extra mile' is what I truly believe sets me apart from others. One client with whom I worked with for a couple months went as far as saying "I was the most engaged leasing agent he has worked with". This statement, as well as my personal work achievements aids in maintaining that I must be doing something right! I am in the top 10% of leasing consultants YTD in terms of leases. I have over 150 total leases and am working toward my Senior Leasing Consultant title. I have been given six times the company-wide Leasing Consultant of the Week award, and have a perfect "shopping report" evaluation, including "shopper of the month". Some of my other essential job duties include utilizing Lead2Lease prospect manager to manage and follow up with clients. I also use MRI residential software to manage current residents when it comes to service requests, account balances, and resident information. A portion of my job includes administrative tasks such as filing, computer work, phone calls, and other general office duties.

As a clubhouse and wine tasting room of over 500 members, Winestyles was a great place for me to utilize my customer service skills while also enjoying my passion for wine.The most rewarding aspect of this job was meeting and doing business with all of the members, and being able to get to know them not just professionally but personally. This greatly assisted in the sales process. As I got to know members, I began to understand what wines they did and didn't like, so in a sense I knew what they wanted before they did!On the Event Coordinator side of the job, I was coordinating small events of 10 to 140 guests, ranging from $500 to $2000 in sales. Considering the small nature of these events, I had the pleasure of developing great relationships with my clients. My duties involved collaborating with clients through conferences, emails, and meetings to ensure that all of their requests were met. I recommended different wine and beers for the event, and would over-see the event from beginning to end to make sure it went smoothly.Another major responsibility of my job was to maintain a professional work environment during live music shows. These very busy and fast-paced events were typically sold-out, which definitely kept the 2 or 3 of us working on our toes! During these events we would recommend and sell wine and beer, while also making food at request and keeping the store clean and organized.Other duties included ordering wine and beer, taking inventory, creating tasting menus, and meeting with distributors to prepare for wine tastings.

This was a fantastic part-time job, as it gave me a chance to see a different side of the beverage industry. I worked 10 to 15 hours a week, in addition to my full-time job at Winestyles, the Vintage.My major job duty was to deliver wine and spirits to various restaurants and bars around Houston. I also regularly delivered orders up to $25,000 to high-end Country Clubs in preparation of large banquets and receptions. My responsibilities with these deliveries included taking inventory and confirming invoice price & quantity with managers, A few other responsibilities included assisting customers with wine and spirit purchases, and maintaining an accurate wine and liquor inventory.

Denver Colorado

During this internship, I worked as the Concessions Intern for ARAMARK at Coors Field, a Major League Baseball stadium with a seating capacity of over 50,000.Much of my job schedule was working 10 to 12 hour days, 7 to 10 days in a row. My primary responsibilities included taking inventory of wine, beer, and spirits before and after games, as well as shadowing and assistant managing the concessions team during games. I helped supervise 8 to10 employees per concession in addition to making sure all stands had the necessary products before and during games. As an intern, in the beginning I was getting a lot of questions from fans that I didn't immediately have answers to. This gave me the idea to create a small informational pamphlet for future interns and supervisors to reference on gameday. This pamphlet gave information on many aspects of operations from opening stand checklists to locations of elevators. Other duties of my internship included alcohol supervision, using Excel to enter inventory, calling in product orders to specific stands during games, and participating in conference calls.

Lansdowne Virginia

For my first internship, I couldn't have asked for a better experience!I was the Food and Beverage intern for the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia, a one million square foot conference center and 900 room hotel. As the intern for the Food and Beverage Department, I was exposed to many different areas including procurement, banquets, the dining hall, sports bar, and culinary. I rotated weekly through these areas while shadowing managers and assisting employees. Throughout these departments I learned about inventory, food and beverage costs, purchasing, menu forecasting, and customer service.In addition to this, I was also assigned two major projects with other interns. With the first of these projects we implemented a new safety program for employees. This included creating a safety mascot that would award employees for safe behavior. To roll-out this program, we organized a safety orientation where we presented our program to over 70 employees.A larger project we worked on consisted of coming up with ideas on how to make it easier for guests to find their way around the premises. This included interviewing guests and employees, creating Powerpoint's and brochures, updating maps, and giving an hour and a half presentation to the Executive Committee about our research.Both of these projects were worked on simultaneously in addition to my normal 8 to 10 hour schedule so I vastly improved my time management and organization skills. I also got the chance to practice my communication and presentation skills numerous times during this internship.Outside of my internship, being halfway across the country was an adventure in itself! I got to experience many new things and it gave me a chance to grow as an individual and build more confidence and self-reliance.
