Over the past 33 years my roles have ranged from general medical surgical, intensive care and emergency nurse staff roles to administrative roles as clinical supervisor and clinical manager in an emergency department. One of my favorite roles has been the clinical supervisor role. The variety of situations that present make the role interesting. In addition, the role offers the opportunity to mentor nurses as they enter the field.
