Connie Choi Email and Phone Number
I'm an enthusiastic team player and leader who builds beautiful game worlds with background, character and prop design. I've received several awards for game art and illustration, including two W3 Awards, a Youth Media Alliance Award and a Kidscreen Award for my work on the TVOKids Cutie Pugs games and the mobile dress-up game Kimono. I illustrated the Annick Press book series Cross Ups, which won a Top Shelf Fiction Award and was named one of the Best Books for Kids & Teens by the Canadian Children’s Book Centre in 2019. I have extensive experience working as a game artist, where I demonstrated my ability to work with various art styles and workflow processes while developing my team management skills. Alongside game art, I enjoy creating art for books, designing tabletop games and participating in game jams. With Sticky Brain Studios Inc., I've created everything from pugs, dragons and single-celled creatures to traditional Japanese kimonos surrounded by an award-winning mobile interface. I shipped 20+ games with Sticky Brain for clients and pitched and prototyped Sticky Brain's first PC/console game, Rooster. As Rooster’s art director, I’ve recruited and mentored artists and co-op students, helping them gain game design experience with Sticky Brain’s highly collaborative team. Through Rooster, I'm excited to showcase my team's collective nostalgia for Chinese food and culture with my artistic voice. I also like to sneak my pet turtles into games, so look out for them when Rooster launches in 2025!
