It's not just a JOB it IS an adventure... daily!!! Working with the public is the majority of my responsibilities. What I do... promote businesses who support the Chamber of Commerce, new membership, Tourism for our area, visiting businesses, Event planning, Calendar of Events, financials for the Chamber, mailing, phone inquiries, email inquiries, attending meetings with different organizations/businesses in my community, improving our community with maintaining motorized trails and increasing our non-motorized trails, new business development, creation of new brochures, billboard designs, advertising and just working hard to keep everything running smoothly. The list is long as my days are also... like I said "It is not just a job it is a daily adventure!!!"

Loved teaching & having the interaction with the students. I taught mostly 7th grade - 12th grade classes. Definitely a lifetime experience;>}

Loved working with the residents of this County Facility. Do to health issues I had to change my career. Many great memories made, long hours of work but when you are at a job like nursing at a long term care facility, you are either there for the paycheck or your there for your resident's. I personally loved working with the resident's. A very fulfilling life time experience.

To be a Bartender is an experience I feel everyone should have at least once in there lifetime. You really get to know who people really are... especially if you are a good Bartender!!! Great place to work & eat.. the Konteka had the best Fish Fry on Friday nights in the entire West End of the Upper Peninsula... people would come there from all over to eat a great meal & to watch the Black Bears out the large dining room windows. I also worked in Ontonagon at a Family Restaurant in the Bakery, during this time, working my way through school to be a nurse.
