  * Investigate and evaluates losses while develolping a plan of action to bring claims to proper resolution in a timely manner.* Determine extent of insurance coverage and compensability on each filed claim.* Investigate claims, including interviewing employees, employers and witnesses.* Obtain necessary records, including but not limited to, hospital records, police reports, physician records, etc.* Maintain control of litigation activites and costs per account requirements.* Negotiate settlements for resolutions with claimants and their attorneys* Perform EDI and CMS/Section 111 reporting* Present thorough and accurate reports to clients and excess carriers on claims investigations/situations.* Responsible for catastrophic losses, complex litigation and other sensitive issues* Utilize appropriate preferred vendors* Mentor, train and/or share expertise with other ASC staff* Serve as back up to supervisor or manator when they are unavailable* Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions* Review written material to maintain current knowledge on principles, practices and new developments in assigned work area* Maintain and meet state specific licensing requirements* Respond to client questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner
