Operations Manager at Northern Space and Security Ltd (NORSS) supervising day-to-day operations of the Orbital Analyst team, Data Analyst team and Software Engineering team.

I have begun my early career in the space industry as an Orbital Analyst at the Northern Space and Security Ltd (NORSS) Orbital Analyst Hive. My experience is focused within specialist sectors of the space industry including Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST). In addition to orbital analysis, I have experience working in a variety of engineering roles, namely Aerospace Engineer, Design and Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer and Software Engineer. Daily duties as Orbital Analyst involve ensuring the safety of critical spacecrafts involved in high-interest events by monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on key space events including re-entering objects, conjunction and collision avoidance activities and fragmentations of objects. Day-to-day activities also include the development of astrodynamics software capabilities.My responsibilities outside of my daily orbital analysis remit have included: • Project team lead for the NORSS Space Platform. • Technical project lead for the UKSA Active Debris Removal & Spaced-Based SST Study in collaboration with Astroscale. • Lead engineer for an international collaborative project to re-design and optimise the star tracker camera on board the D-Orbit ION-MK01 satellite. • Lead Design Engineer for the NORSS LOCI sensor system, tailored to tackle the challenges of Low Earth Orbit optical observation. • Orbital Analyst for the US military led triannual “Sprint Advanced Concepts Training” (SACT), participating in the meridian cell. • Company web designer, web developer, and website manager of the norss.co.uk site. • Technical space proposal development, including bids for MoD, DASA, NATO, ESA and UKSA.
