CurrentDeveloped Management Team that transformed agency from primarily operating two homeless shelter to a consortium of homeless services that both prevent homelessness and transform the lives of homeless persons. Fully integrated agency programs and services for greater effectiveness, added five new porgrams in 5 years to establish IHS as clear leader in homeless services in Hawaii. Went from serving 1400 people to 5000+ and diversified funding streams to include a $1.5M grant from US Dept of Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, Established cross training for staff that equip them to triage complex needs of chronically homeless persons. Collaborations include over 20 local academic programs and non-profit human service agencies. IHS also engages numerous corporate partners and a range of faith communities in the mission of providing respite to unsheltered and transforming lives by providing volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all sizes.
