Hello, I my name is Connie Petersen. I am an internally motivated and goal oriented professional focused on meaningful work with the mission to support and improve people's lives. My experiences of teaching in the radiologic sciences program at Boise State University and then building my counseling practice where I focus in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and chronic illness has helped me develop the skills I am now using to build CARE - Collective of autoimmune Resources for Everyone. Through my own experiences and those of my clients with autoimmune conditions I recognized the need for connection and support from a community and information and resources from many professionals that are necessary to improve the lives of those living with autoimmunity. I am in the process of identifying content providers and potential partners who share in the same mission of CARE which is to provide symptom-relieving resources, education, and support for the autoimmune community.
