I’m a curious, energetic professional with a passion for social justice. Through this lens and with the help of multidisciplinary teams, I’ve experienced great success leveraging technology to enhance programs and solve problems. For example, as the Immersive Experience Manager at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, I transformed a virtual reality program that was built to be delivered by trained professionals to be effective for general public consumption. Due to the delicate, controversial, and mission-critical nature of the topic – bullying and harassment related to safe and legal abortion – this was no easy task! But I rolled up my sleeves and persistently collaborated with multiple subject matter experts and affiliates for development and testing support, hitting program targets in a timely manner and yielding outstanding results. I easily integrate into teams because I take initiative and want to be recognized for meaningful contributions. In my opinion, how a team works together is paramount to project success: culture is everything, a respect for diversity is key, and tunnel vision is not an option. While I possessed a strong appreciation for diversity from the onset, I feel that working at Planned Parenthood has helped me grow because racial equity is such a priority within the organization.Now, I’m seeking a new challenges in fast-paced, proactive environments where I can further expand my skills while drawing on my multifaceted experience to drive inclusiveness, innovation, and tangible results.
