Responsibilities include a full range of activities required to research, write and submit a wide range of grant applications (federal, state, local, foundations, etc.), complying with all grant reporting requirements, coordinating and leading activities of a grant program and maintaining files and records. Responsibilities included the recruitment and selection of students from 8th grade in a 10 county region to receive a full scholarship upon high school graduation, mentoring of selected Scholars, as well as the design and development of summer and academic year programs to enhance student success in high school and promote matriculation to college.

I worked with area service providers to meet urgent or educational needs (i.e. tutoring, self-esteem workshops, GED classes, etc.). Finally, in the Spring of 1994, I began a full-time graduate degree program and stepped into a part-time position as an office assistant in the Family Life Adult Learning Programs. Show less
