JAX Global Consulting Ltd helped FMCG brands build authentic and inclusive relationships with their customers; clients included several brands of the Estee Lauder Companies of UK & Ireland. Using customer insight analysis, focus groups, and demographic date, we identified the unique qualities of their current and prospective customers. This work guided recommended adjustments to corporate strategies that have been rolled out globally but need to be made more “glocal." Other engagements included: customer engagement strategies for the market introduction strategies for Odyssey Media (USA) and YDC Wellness (Japan) and US market expansion strategies for the lingerie and hosiery company, Nubian Skin (UK & USA).

Responsible for overall management of operations in the UK and Europe. Accomplishments:• Rationalized the store portfolio, closing 6 low performing doors - 17% of sales to retailers - with only a 3% decline sales and an increase of 28% in overall door retail sales productivity• Developed a regional expansion strategy in Europe - adding 3 doors in Paris - and harnessed previously untapped links to Middle East customers in UK that resulted in expansion into Kuwait• Designed an omnichannel strategy and multi-year phased migration plan: retailers' sites were updated including complete redesign of Boots.com site, agreed terms with "beauty e-tailers" and developed plan for stand-alone European e-commerce site.• Created a social media program that attracted more than 2,500 Twitter and 2,000 Instagram followers in its first year and with the Social Media Manager, developed a v-/blogger & influencer engagement program• Oversaw the refurbishment and rebranding of 60% of the division’s counters

Stargate Capital Investment Group (SCIG) raised the first institutionally-backed investment fund – Trapezia Fund I - in the UK to invest primarily in women-owned and women-focused businesses:•Participated in the portfolio’s first exit at 2.5X invested capital in 2012. •Executed growth strategies focused on market entry/channel development; succeeded in getting FMCG company on the shelf in Asda (former Walmart UK subsidiary).•Developed new business plans for portfolio companies to drive growth

Provided consulting and interim management services to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), government agencies and charities seeking transformational change to maximise operational effectiveness; clients included NHS London, Prospectus and The Africa Centre. Services range from conducting risk analyses to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for change to working as operational lead to execute business & change plans.

Worked with Cherie Blair and Board of Directors to launch the Foundation - her first philanthropic initiative after returning to private life:•Concept Development – Supervised development of Needs & Feasibility Assessments to refine foundation concept/ objectives; revised business plan to position new entity within the sector •Implementation Planning – turned objectives into programmatic action plan; forged relationships with prospective sector partners and assessed initial project commitments, including one announced at the 2008 Clinton Global Initiative•Fundraising – identified vehicle for cross-country tax-effective giving and organised fundraising and “friend-raising” events in London, New York, Mumbai and Washington D.C

My key responsibilities included hiring and supervising the Foundation’s 14 staff members, working with senior staff in the preparation of the £10 million ($15.9 million) annual budget, preparing policy briefings to support recommendations to the Grants Committee for the Foundation’s £8-10 million ($13-15.9 million) in annual grants, and monitoring professional financial and property investment advisors that manage the Foundation’s £200 million ($318 million) in assets.

Conducted health policy research to inform the development of health and social care services to reduce ethnic variation in health service delivery and inequality in health service use and outcomes; fellowship was awarded by the British Council.

TCA Health, Inc. is a family-founded, non-profit health care and social services organisation created to provide comprehensive, community-based care to several of the most indigent communities in the city of Chicago.
