FounderThe Respect Alliance, Inc. Jul 2011 - PresentThe best way to succeed in any challenge that arises is to surround yourself with knowledgeable individuals. The RESPECT Alliance, founded by Connie Grier, is an associated group of highly-experienced, like-minded educators, parents and community partners who share an enthusiasm for respectful collaboration with parents and community stakeholders. Our flagship programs are holistic, family focused mentoring that provides multi focused (academic, social and emotional) areas of support. Included in this support are also two of our most "at promise" groups; adjudicated youth and incarcerated/re-entry focused parents. Through our partnership with Princeton Review, ALL families that participate in our mentoring programs receive FREE test prep support for PSAT, SAT, AP courses and several other nationally utilized standardized examinations.MOMs ( Mothers and Movers on a Mission) is our community engagement support platform for women. What can WE do to support our families, our communities, our dreams and goals? Together, we can definitely accomplish more. While Parental involvement has received attention in recent years, we feel that there has been a dearth of DIRECT parent to school relationships . To that end, RESPECT is comprised of individuals that each have over fifteen years experience in education, parents from across the city, and ancillary partners that have worked with schools in a variety of student/community/family supportive areas.Educational Specialties Offered:Mentoring for the FamilyParental Empowerment and Engagement SupportReEntry Examination, Support and Advocacy
