I create editorial content and assist in the management of the National Snaffle Bit Association's The Way To Go monthly membership magazine, provide content and event reporting for nsba.com and the association's social media channels and assist the association in its communications efforts.

I write content for newsletters, e-newsletters, magazines, websites, blogs and other social media as well as provide counsel regarding communications, public relations and media relations issues. I have worked with all types of businesses including such industries as accounting and financial planning, healthcare, nonprofit and agriculture. My clients have included the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Snaffle Bit Association, the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation as well as the Berry Fit Corporation. Although I often ghost-write for others, publications that have carried my by-line have included Ohio's Country Journal, Farm & Dairy, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation's Our Ohio, the Equine Chronicle, The NSBA Way To Go, the Quarter Horse Journal and the OQHA News. I am a member of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, the Twin City Chamber of Commerce, the Editorial Freelancers Association and the Ohio Agricultural Council.

I wrote newsletter and web site content, assisted our professional staff members with industry news, articles and white papers and handled media and public relations duties for the firm.

I coordinated various communications projects targeted to the company's health care providers including letters, newsletters, manuals and Power Point presentations with two other staff members.

I edited the association's membership publication and developed the group's first web site; coordinated publications including a premium booklet and souvenir program relating to the group's annual event, the All American Quarter Horse Congress; conducted all media relations relating to the event with trade publications and general media; produced all advertising materials for trade media.

I served as a liaison with the agency's agricultural and healthcare clients and worked with a great group of people!

I promoted education and awareness of a number of health issues such as skin cancer to both physicians and the public. I also developed all news releases to announce association news including yearly election of officers and delegate meeting resolutions. My most rewarding work was coordinating the creation and promotion of a series of continuing medical education programs for recognizing and referring patients who are victims of child abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse along with researching resources available to physicians by county. This involved working closely with the Ohio Department of Family Services and the Ohio Department of Aging to develop the educational materials and jointly announce the projects to the public.

Working for a regional HMO, I wrote content for eight company newsletters, which were targeted to a variety of audiences including consumers, physicians and physician and hospital staff members.
