I started as employee #3 with 15 customers and left 9 years later growing the company with the CEO to 100 employees and 1000 customers in 11 states. I decided to start my own company, Integrity HIS in 2005 while raising my 3 children ages 1, 3 and 5. The company was a huge success for 8 years until a purchase offer came in from a competitor for our valuable contract with large healthcare systems. At that point, I decided to venture into academia to share my connections and insights with aspiring health information professionals. I am currently the program director and professor of both the associate and bachelor’s degree programs at San Diego Mesa College. In 2015, I developed the first Bachelor of Science program at a California Community College providing access to the higher degree for underserved students. In 2016, I founded Renown ROI Services to address the staffing needs of health information professionals. I provide consulting services to hospitals regarding staffing, systems, finding and soothing pain points.
