RemainCo/Element Solutions is a global producer of high technology specialty chemical products and provider of technical services with $2 billion of annual revenue. Element Solutions serves multiple industries, including, electronics, automotive, graphic printing, metals and plastic plating, and offshore oil production and drilling. Arysta LifeScience was a global business with an additional $2 billion of annual revenue that provided specialty crop protection solutions, including BioSolutions and seed treatments. Platform Specialty Productions was created as a public company with its first acquisition in 2013 and then 5 additional significant acquisitions over the next 2 years, with 3 of the acquisitions within Element Solutions and the other 3 within Arysta LifeScience.The disposition was able to occur as we improved the financial performance of both segments of the business with total overall revenue and profit CAGR of 5% and 7%, respectively, and nearly doubling free cash flow. Accomplishing this all while transforming the finance organization to remediate 4 material weaknesses and 3 significant deficiencies, implement a new consolidation system as well as a planning system and identifying tax strategies to reduce the effective tax rate by approx 10 basis points. This was achieved while we reduced corporate finance annual spend by $15 million or 40%. -
