I have worked in diverse roles and settings in public health for over 20 years; my work is at the intersection of public health, technology, and data. Some of my tools for success are a deep commitment to quality, attention to detail, strong skills in project management and in writing, and dedication to mentoring others. My career has had an international focus for the past decade. After working for WHO, I joined Palladium in 2015. I assist country governments to improve disease surveillance, global health security, and health services through work in two broad areas: identifying, designing and implementing appropriate technologies; and improving the quality, flow and analysis of data. I have experience in implementing and leading donor-funded projects in challenging environments. I am professionally fluent in Spanish. My earlier work at the North Carolina Division of Public Health and at CDC helped make me the professional I am today. I have a unique perspective and a lot of practice sharing and applying learning between the US and international public health practice.
