Program Coordinator

Washington D.C. Metro Area

My work as the Program Coordinator for GMF's Leadership Programs most significantly involved designing the annual strategy, schedule, and program for GMF's Marshall Memorial Fellowship. The fellowship involves 24-days of immersive travel exchange in addition to four months of briefings and preparation for the 75 European and American leaders who participate on an annual basis. These efforts involved selecting the 36 European and American cities that the fellows will travel to each year and collaborating directly with local partners on the ground to design each 5-day program. I continued to draw on my operations experience and lead a team of two full-time staff and two interns to ensure that all logistics were executed on schedule and within budget. In addition to heading the MMF program, I was heavily involved in the production of all Leadership Program alumni seminars: I worked with local partners on the ground to identify the best venues, speakers, and other programmatic elements; marketed the seminars through email and social media campaigns; and managed the execution of the program on the ground.

Operations Assistant

Washington D.C. Metro Area

As the Transatlantic Leadership Initiatives (TLI) Operations Assistant, I oversaw all logistics and procurement for the TLI's fellowship and alumni programs targeting emerging and established leaders in the United States and Europe. These programs include the Marshall Memorial Fellowship (MMF), Manfred Woerner Seminar (MWS), Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network (TILN), and a portfolio of seminars for alumni of these programs. I managed all logistics and budgets for eight iterations of the fellowship programs above in addition to alumni seminars in Michigan, California, Mexico, Italy, and Ukraine. My efforts with the MMF had me working directly with 150 European and American business, government, and civil society leaders to prepare them for 24-days of an immersive leadership development transatlantic exchange. This involved designing their flight routes with over 600 individual flights, leading the J1 visa process for all European fellows, and administering 8 days of programming when the fellows visit Washington and New York. I also managed the budgets of 36 individual 5-day programs in major cities that the MMF fellows visited throughout Europe and the US.Within eight months of assuming my role as the Operations Assistant, I led the TLI team's registration, flight, ground transport, catering, and hotel procurement efforts for the largest alumni seminar to date, the Triennial Transatlantic Leaders Retreat, which brought more than 150 high-level professionals to convene in St. Vincent, Italy for three-days of intensive programming. One year later, I managed all logistics for the preparation and execution of another alumni seminar that drew over 80 participants in Kyiv, Ukraine; this marked a significant expansion of our efforts into Eastern Europe.I also led a five-month effort to design and create GMF's first alumni network app, which successfully launched in April 2018.
