Summary of DutiesUpstream§ Operation of single use bioreactors specifically XDR and associated software, as well as limited exposure to STR reactors and systems.§ Application of aseptic techniques in the thawing and subsequent culturing of mammalian suspension cultures, with appropriate use of PPE and MSC equipment.§ Calibration, upkeep and use of analytical equipment during processing to gain valid inprocess data on the chemistry and gas environment of upstream intermediates/§ Preparation of large quantity growth medium for inoculation and growth of cell lines.Downstream§ Set-up and application of pre-packed columns via Akta ready sytems and associated Unicorn software.§ Viral inactivation and filtration through pH manipulation and viral retentive filtration sytstems.§ Tangential flow filtration and buffer exchange, achieved by UF/DF using FlexAct UD equipment.Ancillary§ Flexible delivery of training and support to new members of staff through an involved shadowing approach.§ Sharing of data and troubleshooting with process development representatives.§ Co-operation with QA departments in identifying, reporting and assessing deviations.§ Concerted efforts to improve workplace practice and procedures with continuous improvement representatives.§ Facility EHS audits to maintain a high level of compliance with site safety standards.
