Our research in the Department of Psychology, the Learning and Remembering Lab focuses on how memory and metacognition functions in the human brain, and identifying strategies to improve recall methods.

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary throughhigher education that is designed to increase school wide learning and performance. The AVID CollegeReadiness System (ACRS) accelerates student learning, uses research based methods of effectiveinstruction, provides meaningful and motivational professional learning, and acts as a catalyst forsystemic reform and change.

Summer camp running June - August for both 2021 and 2022. Supervised 20 campers per day, ages 6-12 years old as well as two Assistant Counselors. Taught students the value of cooperative team sports, good sportsmanship, emotional self-regulation, and communication skills (younger students)Led, modeled, and facilitated complex communication, interpersonal skills, and group interactions (older students)
