Therefore, half of my duties are to perform on-site wetland delineations for potential AKS projects and the other half are office based tasks involving the preparation for these visits. Besides the various tasks associated with performing wetland delineations, during these on-site visits I also use a Trimble R10 GPS device to record the location of potentially jurisdictional wetland boundaries and on-site waters. Back in the office I then upload this data to our computer database, enter the wetland data sheets into an Excel spread sheet, and begin writing and constructing permit applications for Oregon's Department of State Lands or Washington's DNR.Pre and post site visit duties involve the pulling of several different site specific background maps to determine the historical and current conditions of site.
