Since Joining Atkins in 2014 my experience has varied between large scale education and leisure projects for local authorities to complex refurbishment and fit out works for Royal Mail and the NHS.Key Project Experience:Dean Trust Ardwick, Manchester - A 1200 place volumetric school built on a highly-constrained city centre site. Constructed in less than one year, the build uses a hybrid of modular and traditional construction techniques. Carnival Leisure Centre and Mixed-use Development, Wokingham - A Leisure Centre led mixed-use town centre development featuring new public Library, Restaurant Unit, Children’s Play facility and 55 Life Time Homes compliant residential apartments. The leisure centre includes 25m 6 lane pool, learner pool, fitness suit, sports hall, 100 station gym and fitness studios. Bulmershe Leisure Centre, Wokingham - A new build local authority leisure centre featuring 25m, 6 Lane swimming pool, learner pool, 75 station fitness suite, sports hall, dance studios, café, “Live Well” gym and associated changing facilities. The Leisure Centre is designed to Sport England Affordable Sports Hall guidance and is adapted to allow shared use by the adjoining High School.NHSBT Blood Centre, Barnsley - A new, state of the art blood centre in Barnsley, consolidating NHSBT's Leeds and Sheffield centres to serve hospitals throughout Yorkshire and the East Midlands.Royal Mail Delivery Offices - New and refurbished delivery offices in Antrim, Llangefni and Hereford.

I joined Seymour Harris as an Architectural Assistant in 2008 before eventually progressing to becoming qualified as a registered Architect.During my time with the practice I gained experience across a variety of industry sectors but most predominantly implementing large education projects in the North East.The role also involved development and implementation of the office BIM management system. This includes staff training and advancement of service provision in order to expand procurement opportunities.Key Project Experience - Consett Academy and Leisure Centre, Sedgefield Community Sports College, Phoenix Sports and Science College (incorporating Phoenix Sports Centre), Norton Fitzwarren District centre, Milton Keynes Central Station.

MHA are a small practice in rural Northern Ireland who specialise in community and housing projects.The majority of my experience was gained developing single house designs for private clients but notable exceptions include:Crosskeys Inn – Project lead for a large hotel extension to a grade I listed 300 year old thatched pub. Constant liaising with the environment and heritage service to get the scheme through planning.NEELB Library Adaptations – Designed several adaptation schemes including libraries in Portglenone, Maghera and a £200K extension & refurbishment at Crumlin. Handled all projects from initial design stages through to completion on site.Millfield Housing Development - Lead designer for a 160 unit mixed housing development on the outskirts of Dungannon.
