Responsible for the Materials and Device R&D at OQC. Encompassing nanofabrication, materials science, device engineering, and metrology. Remit is to direct these activities to further improve the capabilities of OQCs superconducting QPUs and auxiliary devices.

Lead of the Quantum Materials and Devices area. Responsible for the delivery and R&D of qubits and QPUs.

As Senior Quantum Engineer at OQC I am involved in the design, simulation, fabrication, and measurement of novel superconducting components for quantum processing. I am also the Laboratory Manager at OQC and am responsible for the day-to-day running of the laboratory.

Lead researcher of the Superconducting Electronics team within the Quantum Technologies Department. Broad interests included the use of Josephson junction metamaterials for the development of Josephson Travelling-Wave Parametric Amplifiers (JTWPA), investigation of Josephson behaviour in superconducting nanobridges, and development of HyQUID measurement schemes. In addition, support of SI measurement work - namely novel Cryogenic Current Comparator designs, and contribution to advances in Josephson Quantum Voltage Standard research.Delivery of NPL responsibilities in mulitple UK and European research projects.
