My PhD is focused on the development of a novel hydrogel-based microneedle platform capable of capturing and releasing tumour-associated microRNA from skin interstitial fluid (ISF) for downstream genomic analysis.

Working on the synthesis and purification of oligonucleotides to be used in the sequencing and development of a vaccine for COVID-19.

Working with a PhD student on the synthesis of bacterial zwitterionic polysaccharide PS A1. Synthesis of monomer building blocks leading to 12mer oligosaccharide. Experience in various protection/deprotection methods and optimisation of glycosylation reactions. Analysis of compounds using a range of common techniques such as 1D/2D NMR, HS and HPLC.

Upselling additional easyJet products at the bag drop desk - contributing heavily to additional revenue streams.
