I joined Hudl full time as a Quality Assurance engineer, where I continued my testing responsibilities and also wrote UI automation in Python and developed testing tools in React Native. During my time at Hudl, I also participated in a Software Engineering apprenticeship, where I spent a short amount of time assuming responsibilities as a Software Engineer. As an apprentice, I wrote production code for applications that consisted of React Native, Swift and Objective-C.After Hudl, I joined Appsky as a Software Engineer. At Appsky, I utilized frameworks such as Angular, React (with React Hooks), Express and Ionic using Typescript. Other tools used for development included Elasticsearch and Firebase functions.In October of 2020, I joined Mandolin as a Mobile Software Engineer. My main responsibilities consisted of mobile iOS and Android development using React Native and Typescript and delivered both our iOS and Android applications from beta to launch. Used the Zustand library for state management across functional components. Built out and improved our live streaming experience using the react-native-video library and built out native iOS video player concepts using AVPlayer. Used the styled-components library to standardize our functional components’ designs. Also contributed to our API written in NodeJS + Express to develop out features between web and mobile applications. Wrote out our automated video upload/processing tool for internal use to streamline our prerecorded asset process on our web React application.I joined Opendorse in September of 2021. I primarily worked on React Native codebase for Android and iOS apps using Typescript. Implemented CodePush to allow for immediate remote updates. Introduced crash reporting and kept weekly track of crash rates to measure application quality. Recorded metrics around our test suite coverage and user growth in the mobile applications. Led technical projects around captcha to increase our API and client applications’ security.I was the guild lead for the mobile guild and coordinated quarterly initiatives to meet business requirements for the mobile products and technical projects. Also included management of mobile task backlogs, planning, leading guild meetups, and conducting interviews for mobile engineering candidates.
