CurrentI work here because it truly works. Students make years of progress within a couple weeks with Lindamood-Bell's 1-on-1 intensive instruction. The confidence instilled in a kid who goes from a complete non-reader to someone who reads every billboard they pass while driving is indescribable. These kids may grow old, but that feeling never will. Some of the main duties I perform at LB are: -Build highly-individualized student lesson plans and monitor progress by pacing and probing different levels constantly with the end goal of students reading, comprehending, and writing at their grade level and beyond.-Meet with parents and caregivers frequently to update them on their child’s progress and address any potential roadblocks that arise during instruction.-Mentor and train core staff members so that they feel well-suited to deliver quality instruction, address any difficult behaviors, and understand our purpose as educators.-Collaborate with teachers and specialists to apply the newly acquired skills that students learn in their sessions to their schoolwork.-Administer Lindamood-Bell’s full testing battery to gain an accurate read on a student’s reading comprehension, writing, and mathematics level both before and after instruction.
