At MTech our USP is being able to call the Help Desk and get straight through to a knowledgeable technician rather than being triaged, which has allowed me to build up a wide range of experience from user management, networking, to backups, and much more. Comfortable supporting the Office suite, and Azure making it so I'm versed in not only the basics, but also the future of IT support. Supporting a large variety of clients has allowed exposure to all sorts of problems to resolve and learn from. Having trickier tickets escalated to myself has allowed further growth, not just technically, but also in passing on my experience to other members of the team.

During my time at Rods I developed my ability to prioritise work dynamically and manage my time in a way that ensured every got the attention it deserved. This was also my first foray into 365 admin and other system administrator duties such as Active Directory and fixing issues remotely.

My role here consisted mainly of running reports then exploring and assessing the data in excel. An example of this is generating a weekly report of food / drink sold from the on-site café which allows us to keep track of which products are selling well, and which aren’t which aids in decision making e.g. to stop buying a certain product.

My role at EMIS Health was to receive calls from EMIS users, mostly nurses, and to create and handle the case they have called in about. This included writing up a clear and concise report of the problem and then assigning it to the appropriate team for resolution of the problem.

During this month at the school, I was focused on supporting the teachers and students during the summer school activities, this included both working 1:1 and with small groups of children. Over the course of this job, I demonstrated my ability to work both as part of the teaching staff team, and as an individual leading a small group.
