I assist the university during undergraduate open days. My role requires me to sign in and assist attendees, familiarising them with the university and the course as well as answering any questions they may have. We must also set up the area for the open days and layout food and drinks for those attending. Campus tours are also provided where we deliver an extensive look at what the campus has to offer while remaining friendly and approachable towards the prospective students. Finally for this role I also run physics demonstrations to those visiting, such as use of an infrared camera, explaining key components, concepts and applications in the process.
