As a Human Resources Assistant for Rutgers University, I was responsible for directing callers to the proper department and, if necessary, assisting them with technical issues. As part of a major university spanning multiple campuses, I had to ensure that I was organized and thorough to handle the workload such an institution provides. I maintained and updated the Department database involving cases of discrimination, harassment and employee accommodations, (medical leave, disabilities, etc.) as well as managing and organizing the physical files for the agency. I updated and organized the schedules of my supervisor and coworkers. In addition, my duties included maintaining all correspondence (letters, emails and faxes) for staff.
