Participated in and won a contest on Twitter, later featured in the New York Times (http://nyti.ms/gFldv4), to land the position. Worked in the Media Planning department of Compass Point Media. Was responsible for hands-on work within the department: including flow-chart updates, estimate calculations and updates, goal calculations and updates, as well as day-to-day market research, among other things. Active in learning from and working with the agency's other departments. Participated in research and organization behind the scenes for new business pitches. Throughout the summer, the seven interns drafted a Campaign Architecture for a client, which was presented to both Campbell Mithun and Land O Lakes, the client.Proficeint in "Media Math".

Spent the summer in San Francisco, CA working in and becoming familiar with the Bay Area business world through the high demand, high octane import/export field. Served as the leader of the Digital Media sector among colleagues and the other interns, creating a database of the Bay Area’s Digital Media sector and determining those companies readiness to expand abroad through research and one-on-one discussion with them. Held responsibilities including contacting potential clients over the phone, addressing and solving the marketing problems facing the US Commercial Service, and creating multi-media presentations for clients and government officials.
