I have successfully completed designs from initial concept through the permitting… Show more In this role I am managing multiple different design build projects in the commercial, residential and military sectors. With my team, we effectively design buildings to meet the required codes and standards of the applicable project. I have worked on multiple designs for projects that are actively in the construction phase, and work with the team in the field to address any issues and problem solve. I have successfully completed designs from initial concept through the permitting process.I utilize many different computer-aided design tools to complete these design projects effectively. I mainly work in AutoCAD and Revit to complete the designs. I have completed multiple protective device coordination studies, fault current and arc flash analysis and voltage drop calculations using SKM PowerTools. I have effectively completed lighting designs using Visual Lighting to create photometric drawings for customers.This job has been very rewarding and interesting as I learn more about the construction industry and the requirements for design build projects. I am always learning something new and facing new challenges that require more research. We work in multi-disciplinary teams with all other trades to effectively design a coordinated and successful building.
