In short: I am a bachelor of the arts and master of education. I am a man who writes down his objectives because that's the key to achieving goals and fulfilling missions. Though I've been told that pride is a deadly sin, I take pride in my work, my effort, and my dress. I am result-oriented. I set realistic expectations (adjacent to Vygotsky's zone of proximal development), bring out the best of my students and compatriots with positive reinforcement and intentional and clear communication, analyze data/feedback, set new goals and objectives based on feedback, and track progress. I consider myself a polymath because I have worked in various trades (webmaster, cowboy, teacher, plumber, marketer, coach, etc.) and read from books of all genres. I've become, somewhat, a living Swiss army knife, and when I'm in a crunch, I am able to call upon my living library (e.g. personal contacts and references) to make the right call. I am calm, confident, and assertive. When I received a 4.0 GPA in my master's program, I learned how people learn. I learned about human development and cognition and learned about effective and efficient teaching methods and strategies. This knowledge and practice doesn't just help me to teach, but I also use my understanding of epistemology and pedagogy on myself. In other words, if I don't know or understand something, I am quick to figure it out.
