About Connor Lumley

As an established engineer with a diverse and constantly improving skill set, I am looking to maximize my potential in both my career and my life. I strive to stand out among my peers, although my fiercest competitor is myself. When problems and setbacks arise at work and in life, I treat them as an opportunity to push myself to work hard and find creative solutions. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty in order to finish a job. When I was Team Captain of CMU’s Formula SAE team, and we were behind on the car, I was in the shop 5 nights a week past 11 pm for months to get it done. Not only did we finish endurance that year for the first time, but we had a month of testing beforehand. When I was leading a priority project at Capco, and we were trying to hit an aggressive deadline, I worked long weekend shifts in the lab to get it done. We seamlessly integrated that system into production with time to spare. Although I work hard, I’m a believer that life requires balance. When I’m not focused on my career, you might find me at a cross-fit gym, snowboarding, riding mountain bikes, riding dirt bikes, hiking, or spending time with friends.
