I was a Program Management Associate who worked on two different USAID funded projects - The New Partnerships Initiative Incubator and Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity. Both projects focused on strengthening organizational capacity and incorporating innovative tools into developmental solutions. In addition, I assisted the Business Development team with incorporating environmental considerations and frameworks into future proposals, such as the Ghana Trade and Investment Activity.

I was a Program Associate and Hotel Coordinator for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) at Meridian International Center. I oversaw operations on fourteen different public diplomacy projects which took 122 State Department sponsored international visitors to thirty different American cities. My operational responsibilities included logistics, contractual compliance and financial budgets averaging $100,000 per project. Additionally I was the direct point of contact for Meridian International Center and Washington DC partner hotels.

Kadavu, Fiji

My primary assignment was facilitating a Ministry of Education holistic wellness course in rural Fijian schools. With assistance from a local counterpart, we educated 60 students ages 16-19, on ways to implement positive physical, mental, sexual, and community health into their lives. Working with limited resources required creative thinking and original programming to best convey curriculum. During my service I participated in various secondary assignments that empowered local communities and helped build capacity. Projects were taking place simultaneously, with various deadlines requiring diligent organization and attention to detail. * Secured $10,000 in funding from a USAid grant, which was used to renovate the village community hall and install a water drainage system. My responsibilities included the managing of the project budget, monitoring and evaluation, logistics, and communication with USAid. * Developed a medical outreach program in partnership with Fijian Ministry of Health to educate 40 women ages 22 - 70, on reproductive health and non-communicable diseases. * Empowered 30 men and 10 women ages 16 - 35, on financial literacy. Enabling them to apply for micro-finance loans and better manage their personal funds. * Advised 30 women on a business strategy for a bee keeping project; expanded honey production from 4 hives to 12, leading to an increase in financial independence * Liaised between community leaders, local government, NGO's, and private donors to ensure sustainable access to fundraising opportunities for future development projects.

I spent two summers guiding backpacking trips for 40 young adults in the backcountry of Washington and Alaska. My co-leader and I covered topics such as leadership, teamwork, and environmental conservation.

I led various outdoor trips for graduate and undergraduate students with Outdoor Pursuits, a component of Wake Forest University's Campus Recreation Department. As a trip leader my responsibilities included; planning logistics, budgeting, communication with participants, social media strategy, and the marketing of programs. I supervised climbers at the campus climbing gym and worked in our main office, completing administrative and operations tasks. I gained event experience during the planning of "Wilderness to Wake," an eight-day program for 100 incoming freshmen that encouraged leadership and community building. I was elected by my peers to the position of Vice President in 2014. New responsibilities included serving on the hiring committee, expanding our community outreach, and facilitating leader training.
