Capital Planner
The Capital Planner is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and monitoring of the GNWT Department of Infrastructure's long-range and annual Capital Plan. This includes producing and managing the documentation, detailed analysis, and current status reporting for capital projects being delivered by the Department of Infrastructure, as well as Client Capital Programs for major infrastructure works across the GNWT. This position leads the: planning, detailed analysis of options, financial analysis and needsassessment for the effective long and short-range management of public infrastructure(buildings), improvements and additions to the transportation network in the NWT (roads,bridges, and ferry landings), airports and runways and the mobile fleet of equipment. The Capital Planner provides planning advice for the selection and advancement of projects withthe greatest public benefit to maximize the value of capital funding and increase efficiency forthe GNWT in public infrastructure investments. This is achieved my maintaining strong working relationships with Project Managers across the territory, GNWT Senior Management, and external stakeholders of our capital processes. This position administers approximately $250M in funding annually.
