“How much service did you give to your fellow human beings?”I try to ask myself that question at the end of every day. Did I treat everyone with the dignity and respect that they deserve? If John Quiñones popped out and revealed that I was on the hidden camera TV show “What Would You Do”, would I be comfortable with what they filmed? The answers to these questions are a big reason why I have an unfettered desire to transition into real estate. My three greatest strengths are my professionalism, my interpersonal/communication skills, and my resilience. Professionalism incorporates honesty, integrity, and responsibility. The most important lesson my parents instilled in me was their encouragement and emphasis on the development of honesty, integrity, and responsibility as an individual. It’s safe to say that my greatest strength is also my longest possessed strength. My second greatest strength is my combination of interpersonal/communication skills. If my bachelor’s degree in Communication didn’t convey that; surely my work experience will do the trick. My professional experience working with different levels of management, my confidence and aptitude of working with internal and external stakeholders, and my ability to truly listen have helped me to connect and maintain relationships with people around me. Finally, my third greatest strength is my resilience. I remind myself that “a closed door is still a door” in order to put into perspective that goals or opportunities that seem out of reach today are achievable further down the line. A door might not be open today but it could be open in the near future if I remain focused and continue working towards my goals.My experience demonstrates that I’ve been successful with key responsibilities: I am self-motivated and focused on team success, I have outstanding verbal and written communication, and I have an uninhibited curiosity to learn more about real estate. It is important to remember that clients have families, aspirations, and feelings just like anyone else; I strive and hope to always treat them with the kindness, respect, and honesty that they deserve.I know that my personality, professionalism, work ethic, and resilience will allow me to become a great real estate agent.
