If a social worker is successful in enabling change, it can mean that a child or vulnerable adult may achieve a new lease of life and positive possibilities for the future. As a caring and compassionate BA (Hons) Social Work graduate, I am keen on securing entry-level roles that will give me the chance to better the lives of vulnerable adults. Being part of a team that handles a varied caseload of older adults with a range of conditions and complex needs, is what I am looking for in my new role. I am passionate about assisting older adults. Having worked with them during my placements in community mental health as well as local authority adult social care, I am well-equipped to handle new cases even better. The student placement experience gave me the platform to establish myself as a dependable social worker. Reports have described me as a student social worker who consistently exhibited high standards of ethical and value base, coupled with an innate ability to establish trust and lasting professional relationships with service users. I believe that social work is not just about providing care to the vulnerable in society. It is about being able to walk in the shoes of the service users, whilst reflecting on their experience, feelings and history, to give them the best service that they deserve. This is my working philosophy and I believe it is what has always separated me from my peers. As a valuable addition to your social work team, I bring on board the following: ü Experience in assisting individuals with complex issues including mental health disorders, old age (with or without cognitive impairment) as well as substance misuse ü Strong grasp of social care legislation and social work ethics ü Proven capacity to maintain confidentiality while working on various cases ü A natural facility to establish trust and good working relationships with service users and their families For more, please connect with me.
