About Connor Powers

I am a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount university as of May 2024, with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical EngineeringI hope to pursue a master of science degree in mechanical engineering in the long term, but am currently looking to work to gain real-world engineering knowledge. As such I am committed to applying my STEM skills in the industry in the meantime through gaining experience in the field.I was most recently involved in an engineering research project at Loyola Marymount University studying the effects of microdroplet spray cooling of a hot surface with Dr. Mahsa Ebrahim. In addition, I am currently participating in a capstone project focused on building a dynamometer for engine and CVT transmission testing. Both of these experiences have allowed me to apply my engineering skills to practical projects, and allowed me to effectively listen, contribute, and communicate with a team of fellow students.Outside of my studies, I enjoy working on cars, mountain biking, repairing vintage electronics, and reading.
