Connor R. Sullivan is an active freelance musician in the Northwest Georgia and Atlanta area. Mr. Sullivan has performed with many professional and Semi-professional groups, including the Atlanta Wind Symphony, the Georgia Brass Band, the Symphony Without Borders, the Honor Band of America, and the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, where he had the opportunity to perform at the renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City, NY (with guest soloist George Curran from the New York Philharmonic Orchestra), the New World Center in Miami, FL (with guest soloists from the President's Own Marine Band), and the Music Center at Strathmore outside Washington, D.C. (with guest conductor Lieutenant Colonel Jason K. Fettig from the President’s Own Marine Band). Along with being a wind instrumentalist, Connor has also made a name for himself as a collaborative pianist, where he has accompanied a variety of different instrumentalists and vocalists on juries, recitals, and competitions, as well as accompanying large ensembles, such as the Atlanta Wind Symphony, the Kennesaw State University Wind Ensemble, and the Mount Zion High School Band.More recently, Mr. Sullivan has been developing his organ technique, acquiring a position at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta, GA in January, 2019 as the Organ Scholar, working closely with the Trebles (the youth choir), as well as the Canterbury and the Parish choirs. While at St. Bart’s, Connor was responsible for accompanying the choirs on anthems, leading the congregation on hymns, and preparing music for voluntaries before and/or after the service, as well as attending weekly rehearsals. After his time ended at St. Bart’s in July of 2019, he was offered a position at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Peachtree Corners and was the Choir Accompanist and Organist until November 2019. From November to the present, Mr. Sullivan has been the organist at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (his home parish) in Rome, GA. Since beginning to learn the instrument, Mr. Sullivan has fallen in love with the organ and hopes to pursue it academically in the future.Mr. Sullivan is also an active composer, writing music since the age of 10. His compositions range from full wind ensemble to solo piano, brass ensemble, and various other ensembles. He is also an active arranger, having the opportunity to arrange music for various ensembles such as the the KSU Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, The Euphonium Guys, and many other groups.
