I'm a Computer Science Graduate at Liverpool Hope University. I achieved a 2:1 through my drive and passion for the subject. I have always been dedicated to computer science throughout the years; Software Engineering, Embedded Software, and Data roles. I am actively looking for junior roles within an inclusive, fast-paced, and welcoming company and team who want to make the best possible product for their customers.Within University I worked on a variety of different technologies, and have designed and created projects that have impressed employers. In first year of University, I worked with 3 other team mates to create dyslexic glasses using Arduino and C. With this, extended my knowledge of conceptualising, planning, and creating meaningful products for consumers. It also introduced me to the world of robotics, and embedded software. Due to the work of myself, and the team, we achieved a first class, and again, gathered the attention of companies and recruiters. My keen interest in working with neurodiversities and dyslexia in particular didn't end there, I improved my python skills, and did immense amount of research on dyslexia, and Machine Learning for my final year dissertation, wherein I created a program that would in theory, improve accessibility of the user's computer and devices. This taught me further about research, my introduction into machine learning, and adapting my software developer skills into something I was initially unfamiliar with. I was recently contacted by an NHS worker, to help design and create software that can help people with dyslexia. Learning from my previous projects, we were able to communicate on the features that were necessary. I am actively working on this project, as a passion project on the side. This has taught me a lot about learning independently, and furthering my capabilities as a developer. The current features that are the primary focus are a coloured filter; that can be customised, as well as the potential for Text-to-Speech, and a spellchecker, which I'm iterating from my previous work. I have previously worked at CyberIAM, a consultancy company where they specialise in Identity Access Management. At CyberIAM, I learned vital skills such as cooperating within a team environment, learning new technologies within a fast-paced environment, as well as actively working alongside a variety of different clients. CyberIAM was an amazing experience in operating in a fast-paced environment, and understanding how to accomplish tasks that the client want and need.
