As the lead dispatcher for Winners Circle Spokane, I am responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff; managing staff; and ensuring parcels are delivered safely and on-time throughout Spokane County, Washington.

Since 2008, Espire's team of staffing and information enrichment experts have received numerous awards and commendations for delivering exceptional products and services to solve unique customer challenges.Connor's role at Espire has developed into that of a technical writer with responsibilities critical to the success of its business development team. Since starting this position in January of 2020, Connor has written several white papers and briefs, prepared numerous marketing materials, and worked with Espire's Capture team to pursue contracts with the Departments of State and Defense. His skillset ranges from timely completion of writing tasks to working with diverse teams of technical writing professionals to produce contract proposals and technical papers on behalf of Espire.

Catholic Charities of Oregon serves tens of thousands of individuals experiencing poverty and injustice across western Oregon. In this role, Connor coordinated the launch of CatholicCharitiesOregon.org, improving site traffic and engagement month over month by creating and publishing content on a regular basis. Additionally, this role demanded the development and adoption of communications strategies that supported the short- and long-term outreach goals of the agency. As a member of the development team, Connor took an active role in several fundraising campaigns; notably, he coordinated the 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign that raised more than $25,000 in small and large gifts.Accomplishments:* Launch of CatholicCharitiesOregon.org* Implementation of a monthly newsletter, semi-monthly staff newsletter* Content creation in the form of articles, blogs, and webpages* Ongoing coordination with program staff and external partners* Fundraising support and the development of a highly successful Giving Tuesday campaign that raised more than $25,000 for Oregon's vulnerable neighbors

This was a new position created by Phi Kappa Sigma HQ to buttress communications and engagement goals. In this role, I marketed major programs, events, and campaigns, often with overlapping timelines, resulting in higher event turnout, increased digital engagement, and more branding continuity throughout the organization. For six months, I coordinated and produced content for the annual magazine, featuring notable members throughout the world. The magazine was distributed nationally to every member and host university.Long-term NPO branding initiatives were planned and implemented during this time and continue to reshape organizational perception within the interfraternity community and on campuses where chapters of Phi Kappa Sigma exist. During this time we rewrote organizational branding and style guides and implemented them across the organization.During my time in this role, I launched a brand ambassador program that still exists today. Its purpose is to return fraternal branding to the undergraduate membership and connects a diverse group of members from chapters across the country as they create and publish their own content and learn to work collaboratively in a digital environment. We also launched an internship program that sponsored an undergraduate member for several weeks at HQ to assist in the planning of the biennial convention.Additional responsibilities included consulting multiple groups through a complicated petition process, maintaining multiple e-newsletters, and planning alumni events across the US.

During my time as an undergraduate member of this fraternity, I was fortunate enough to serve as president, vice president, and acting treasurer of the inaugural officer corps. For two semesters my peers and I bore the responsibility of drafting the chapter’s governing documents, petitioning for recognition by entities on and off-campus (office of student affairs, inter-fraternity councils, alumni associations, and fraternity headquarters), and satisfying requirements set by the university and fraternity headquarters regarding member GPAs, volunteer service hours, and philanthropic fundraising, etc.By the end of my tenure in chapter leadership, we had been granted recognition by all external bodies, enacted bylaws drafted in-house, become a residential student organization, begun normal operations, and were holding regularly scheduled meetings during which the business of the chapter could be submitted, discussed, and voted on according to Robert’s Rules of Order.Other responsibilities included conflict mediation, chairing regular meetings, establishing SMART goals, writing and enforcing chapter and officer budgets, and representing the chapter to external entities.

In a supporting role for experts in food resilience, I had the opportunity to learn about government aid firsthand, experiencing up close the impact it has on vulnerable regions and populations. Key responsibilities included administrative duties, supporting teams awarding contracts to non-USG entities (Kenyan government, in-country businesses/microbusinesses), and testing/providing recommendations for web-based tools. Passed federal e-QUIP background check.Living and working in Nairobi supplemented these professional skills by showing firsthand the strengths and challenges unique to the region. This experience inspired an interest in regional affairs that influenced later studies and interests.

My time volunteering with the Republican Party of Virginia provided valuable insight into the democratic process; its local, national, and global ramifications; and its fragile demand for public interest and participation. A months-long involvement with the state party ignited a passion for the kind discourse, activism, and community organization that makes democracy work.Hours of phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, and other volunteer interactions developed skills I have been able to use across multiple industries, from digital marketing to team management.
