Obtain therapy scripts from potential patients or physicians, verify insurances, speak with patients over the phone, contact therapists and keep their patient caseloads up to date, make/file charts, fax notes to physicians, market company to past or potential physician or assisted living groups, take notes at staff meetings, organize events (parties, etc.,) assist other departments when necessary, and more.Evening Outpatient Support – In addition to Homecare Coordinator, I became the face of the outpatient clinic a couple nights a week. Tasks included signing people in, scheduling patients, submitting insurance authorizations, and more.Job Recruitment, New Hires, and Credentialing – Due to some job reassignments, I now have more duties put on my plate. For job recruiting, I put together multiple online ads based off of what the company was hiring, put them up on multiple job sites, forwarded resumes and applications to the owner, and set up interviews with potential employees. For new hires, I put together all of the oncoming employees’ paperwork, fill out as much as possible ahead of time, and have the person sign whatever is needed when they come in and I meet with them to go over everything. And lastly, for credentialing, I provide the oncoming therapist with an NPI number if they do not have one, fill out paperwork and send in to multiple insurance companies to allow the therapist to see patients who have that particular insurance, provide and upkeep the therapist’s CAQH profile, and more.
