The Lift is dedicated to building young leaders in Saint Paul though job and life skills training. As a part of this youth development non-profit, Connor leads a wide range of projects, including:Communications- Develop and execute The Lift’s communications strategy, including copywriting, website design and content, writing an email newsletter, and overseeing social media.- Write, plan, and execute an annual fundraiser that brings in $30,000 a year.- Assist in aligning all materials, communications, and programs with the organization’s mission and style, including producing classroom materials, writing and revising grants, and graphic design.Program Management- Work with program team to write and deliver a life and job skills curriculum for high school students.- Build relationships with students and their families.- Develop, implement, and track improvement goals as part of the Sprockets Activator Cycle.Operations- Work with Executive Director to build a roadmap for the organization's future.- Help develop a healthy and productive organization and communication structure for staffmembers.Podcast Production- Produce "We Shouldn't Even Know Each Other," a podcast about building meaning relationships across social divides. Responsibilities include art direction, episode development, and editing.Overall, through structure and clear communication, Connor makes sure every person who attends a program, volunteers, or donates feels welcome and part of something meaningful.

Coordinate and produce weekly YouTube livestreams, calling cues and coordinating between cameras, switcher, graphics, and director; set design; video switching and camerawork; video editing; script writing and video production.

A $10,000 grant designed to "support and assist professional Minnesota artists at various stages in their careers." Grant activities include working with a published author to revise the manuscript for a novel and hosting a public reading that invites audiences to explore how fantasy fiction and mythic language help us address questions of culture, power, and humanity.

Managed projects; maintained the organization's website; wrote and posted social media campaigns; edited the weekly podcast; assisted at video shoots; gave creative input across a wide range of communications projects.

Bought and sold used books; created table merchandising displays; designed and implemented the storefront window display.

Assisted the director in taking notes for the actors; offered suggestions to director; learned staging to fill in for missing actors during rehearsals.

Sold children’s books; led story time; hosted parties, events, and community crafts; restocked shelves; dressed up as Clifford the Big Red Dog and danced around at events and on the sidewalk in front of the store.

Shot, edited, and distributed promotional videos; wrote and edited press releases; managed database of news articles; developed new promotional projects.

Over the course of four summers, wrote, directed, and performed in twelve children’s theater performances per week across twelve different parks in South Saint Paul, Minnesota.
